Uloyiso Christian School was established by the late Pastor Boldwin Andile Mneno and his wife Nomfundiso Gloria Mneno in 2000. The school was born out of a God-given vision to offer quality education to the community of Qumbu and surrounding areas.The English-medium school, with Christian ethos, was founded to impact the community through Academic Excellence, Character Building and Leadership Development.

In January 2000, the school was launched in the rural town of Qumbu. Since the year 2000, the school has grown in leaps and bounds: Currently, the school offers quality education from Grade R to Grade 7, with 495 students and 27 dedicated staff members.

Under the leadership of the current principal, Malene Kandira, Uloyiso Christian School continues to maintain its position as one of the top schools in the region.
